This is a really nice tea store in the heart of China Town. The teas here are all sourced by the owners and are highly scrutinized for quality and lack of pesticides. Something fun to do is their tea tasting. While it is a bit expensive ($35), it is well worth the experience and knowledge you learn while doing it. The store offers a huge array of teas you can buy and a good selection of tea accessories (cups, steepers, etc.) for purchase as well. This is a great stop if you're in the China Town are in San Francisco.

The tea here is amazing! Their Asam and Iron Goddess of Mercy are two of my favorite teas! They are pricy however, each serving being around .50 to a 1.50. However the quality of their tea is nothing less than phenenominal! Perfect for everyday tea or a gift for someone!

South American tea guy that gave us a tea tasting demo- you are a rockstar!! Tea is amazing but the dude had a passion for tea that is infectious! I never realized how complex the tea world truly is until this experience. Definitely recommend doing the tea tasting for a unique experience!

The best tea shop in Chinatown, I've had their tea for years and I've never found another that I like more that the Moroccan Mint of this place. They staff is very nice and there is a tasting class available if you have time and $35 for the whole table. A must for all tea lovers that come by.

My favorite tea shop ever. It's been more than 10 years since I've lived in SF and I visit when I come back to town and still order their tea online. Great tea, great knowledge of tea.

Relaxing setup to enjoy a tea tasting. $35 for a table of four, includes five teas, and light snacks. You will learn about the shop origin, tea location and how it relates to the distinctive taste each of them has starting from white and going to black tea.

IÒ€ℒve been going to this tea shop since for 7 years! For at least 4 of them, the same woman has been serving the tea tastings. Love this place. Really nice teas and great way to taste before you buy.

Knowledgeable staff. The range was medium sized. The tea was great smelling (and tasting). If you get a chance, try their group tasting service.

The store is family-owned in the second generation. Tea is selected in china, it is natural without any additives. We enjoyed the tea ceremoy "Discovery" with four teas (35 $ for up to 4 persons). Fully recommended!

Visiting from the East coast, couldn't pass up a chance to visit the shop. The quality and variety of teas in stock is already remarkable, yet I would implore anyone to try the tea flight they offer. It's a great value not only given the exceptional rarity and quality of the teas you can taste, but also for the depth of information the staff provides. My wife and I loved our visit - the staff were welcoming and honest.

I just love this tea store and have been buying teas from this company for many years. Truly enjoyed the tea tasting that we had here this trip and appreciated the difference between green tea, oolongs, and black tea. Chinese tea is very subtle and they are able to demonstrate the differences between the teas. Alice Luong and her family have been personally traveling to China to curate the tea that they sell and it really shows. A gem nestled in the heart of what can be rather touristy Chinatown.

Stopped in to get some tea for a friend as a gift..The atmosphere was calm and relaxed. So many fantastic smelling teas..The gentleman that was working (forgot his name, I'm horrible with names) was very helpful and offered me some tea they had recently brewed while I browsed..very knowledgeable staff as well.. apparently the owners still source the tea themselves which is amazing.. I haven't tried very many Chinese teas, but I'll definitely be back to try some of their tea soon..So fun!

I first shopped here twenty years ago. Every time I enjoyed my preferred tea (green and white) and learned something new. Yesterday Sebastian and the lady whose name I didn't catch taught us how to aerate for tasting quality and how to hot or cold brew white tea buds. They explained the sources of flavor in white tea buds, leaves, green tea, and black tea.

Best tea shop I ever walked in. Great tea carefully selected, extremely friendly staff. I love the fact that I can sit down and calmly try the tea before buying, discussing flavour notes with the sellers. Visiting Red Blossom has been the high point of my last 2 trips to San Francisco.Edit, 7 months later: I've been to well regarded / famous tea shops in London, Paris, and New York and still consider Red Blossom the best. The difference for me is the staff. Red Blossom staff is always friendly, and either extremely knowledgeable or at least as curious and excited about tea as I am. Sitting down for a drink there feels more like sharing the experience of trying something new and less like being allowed to sample a product I'm expected to buy.

Staff who are really passionate and knowledgeable about tea make this shop a pleasure to visit. The tea on sale is high quality too; be aware, though, that the goods on offer are pretty primo price wise. I was only able to afford two of the cheapest, and they were expensive; fortunately, they're lovely to drink, so no complaints.

This shop is great. The tea and knowledge about the tea is second to none. The staff is great and really made my group feel welcome. At Red Blossom I felt they treated the tea very much like fine wine. The young lady serving us even took time to show us the regions the tea was grown in and explain the many details about what makes a tea taste different. This place is great!

Amazing place with a great selection of quality tea. This place is defiantly more for tourists than for those who live in China town. It had a beautiful set up, tea educated staff fluent in English who help you select teas you would be interested in rather than harass you into buying tea you don't want. They have tasting of tea you are intersected in purchasing and gift sets. I would definitely come back next time I'm in San Francisco!

The best tea. If you are new, be sure to get the Golden Monkey first pick. You will realize the garbage tea you were having before and throw it all away and replace it with as much as you can from Red Blossom. This also makes fantastic gifts for friends and family.

Amazing tea, amazing service when I came into the shop. I usually get the Three Cultivar Red, it's the sweetest mellowest black tea I've ever had and doesn't go bitter if I forget about it steeping on my desk. I was sick enough recently that my doctor said no caffeine, and when I went in they immediately recommended the peppermint rose, which I am drinking right now. It's a wonderfully refreshing non-caffeinated tea that even though I'm cleared for caffeine, I still drink in the afternoons. Thank you!!

What great place to taste and buy excellent Chinese Tea. My favorite types are the heavenly Formosa Oolongs. They have six or seven types "fresh" to choose from. Great service and great teas. Don't forget the tea pots and tea cups are available to purchase also. Have a wonderful hour with Red Blossom and pick some incomparable tea to take home.
